Minersville defeated Bloomsburg 13-3 in 6 innings on Monday in the 1st round of the PIAA "A" State Softball playoffs.
The Panthers opened the game with a triple in the top of the 1st inning, but the Minersville defense stepped in for three quick outs holding Bloomsburg to no runs.
Minersville then put up the first run of the game in the bottom of the 1st inning with an rbi single to center making it 1-0.
Minersville advances to play on Thursday in the state quarterfinals.
