PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- Folks revved their engines in Luzerne County to help children.

A car show was held Sunday afternoon at the Polish American Club near Wilkes-Barre.  The money raised benefits the State Police Camp Cadet Program.

The program is a summer camp for boys and girls that teaches them about the criminal justice system. It focuses on discipline, teamwork, drug and alcohol prevention and many other issues.

Folks who came out to see the fancy rides also tried their luck at basket raffles and purchased some treats from a bake sale.
