SCRANTON -- Runners and walkers laced up their sneakers for a colorful event on Sunday in Lackawanna County.

People raced up and down Washington Avenue for the "Color Me Rad" 5K event.

At five different stations throughout the course, participants got doused with colored corn starch.  Everyone was encouraged to wear white so they would be as colorful as possible by the end of the race.

Some of the money raised at the run will benefit the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.
