One of the key figures in the "Kids for Cash" scandal in Luzerne County has to report to prison on Monday.
In April, Robert Mericle was sentenced to one year behind bars, plus a year of probation and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Marshals confirmed that Mericle will serve his time at the minimum security Schuylkill Federal Prison Camp near Minersville.
Mericle admitted to paying a $2 million finder's fee to Luzerne County judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan as part of the construction of a new facility to house juvenile offenders.
