TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP -- People attended the NEPA bluegrass festival in Wyoming County in record numbers this year.

The weekend long festival near Tunkhannock draws bluegrass music fans and artist from all over the country.

"It took us a while to get up here, about 14 hours from home, but when we finally got in here and seen everything, it's a beautiful place," said Lizzy Long from the group "The Little Roy and Lizzy Show."

The Zarnoskis own an Irish shop in Scranton and they've been coming to the bluegrass festival for years to sell their merchandise.

"We love the venue, we love talking to the people, the music is fantastic," said Alfred Zarnoski, owner of Classy Lassie in the Viewmont Mall.

It's the 7th year the festival has been held in Tunkhannock Township.

Some people come every year and some are new to the bluegrass scene.

Helen Rathon from Clermont said,  "We just loved it. So we started asking questions. Where can we get more of this?"

For those who come for the day or camp out the entire weekend, when the festival is over the said it's time to start counting down until next year's event.
