LEWIS TOWNSHIP -- A school in Northumberland County is sporting a new look.

Folks came out to Warrior Run Middle School near Turbotville on Wednesday to celebrate the completion of a 4,700-square-foot mural that decorates the outside of the school.

Mural artist, Jon Laidacker and Joel Ryder, the high school art teacher, were in charge of the project. Students, and community members joined in to help.

"I think the artistic power of this is going to carry on for years. And I think that was one of our main intents definitely, to inspire young artists to do great things," said Ryder.

The mural depicts the district's name, its mascot, and a timeline of local history.

Every age of History has its memories for all of us, that we lived through and experienced and reflecting on these things can back the feelings of pride ,love and encourage us to step forward as it did for the men and women and children that lived in this very area. May we always reflect on what brought everyone this far and move us ever forward .
