ROARING BROOK TOWNSHIP -- A contractor in Lackawanna County is accused of ripping off a nursing home he was supposed to fix.
Authorities said Paul Wassell, the owner of Scranton Roofing and Contracting, took $16,000 to repair the roof at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home, but never finished the job.
Wassell is currently locked up in the Lackawanna County Prison on unrelated retail theft charges.
