STROUDSBURG — A beautiful work of art is now covering what was a vacant lot in downtown Stroudsburg.
The Sherman Theater Living Room Arts Committee put up a mural where a restaurant and several businesses burned in 2006.
A group of artists began painting about a month ago, and finished their work on Saturday.
People of the community think it really brightens the borough.
“Every day I would pass this I’d be like ‘ This is a waste of space.’ I thought maybe they should make a park or something like that, but the mural they made is beautiful. I’m really happy they did it,” said Brian Feld, of Stroudsburg.
All the materials were donated, and 18 businesses that sponsored the project are depicted in the mural.
