The Penguins defeated the Ice Caps in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final, winning 3-2. The Pens, Chuck Kobasew grabbed the early lead, with a first period goal, and Tom Kostopoulos sealed it up for the Penguins with a late second period goal. Peter Mannino got the win in the net, coming off the ice with 31 saves! Game 2 in this best-of-seven series is Sunday in St. John's.
