Brooke Estadt the Lakeland freshman finished 7th in the state in the Girl's AA Long Jump with a leap of 17 feet 3/4 inches on the first day of the PIAA State Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University on Friday May 23rd, 2014.

Katie Kravitsky the Dallas sophomore finished 4th in the state in the Girl's AAA High Jump clearing 5 feet 6 inches.

Gwen Remaley the senior from Lehighton took home an 8th place finish in the Girl's AAA Shot Put throwing 40 feet 7 1/4 inches.

Jarred Sacks the senior from Palmerton took home an 8th place finish in the Boy's AA Triple Jump going 43 feet 6 3/4 inches.

Dominic Farranato from Mt. Carmel was 8th in the Boy's AA javelin throwing 173 feet. Dominic is only a sophomore.

Anthony Bouselli nursing a leg injury for the last several weeks was able to bring home a state medal in the Boy's AAA discus hitting for 8th with a throw of 164 feet 11 inches. Bouselli is a senior from Wallenpaupack and is heading to the University of Virginia in the fall.

Carter Green the senior from North Schuylkill took home 8th place in the Girl's AA Discus by throwing 125 feet 2 inches.

Kayla Merkel the freshman from Hazleton was 8th just two spots behind Shelby Freedman from Danville in the Girl's AAA javelin. Merkel hit 127 feet 9 inches with her throw while Freedman came from the lower seeded bracket to medal taking 6th in the state throwing 133 feet 2 inches.

Frankie Tewell from Central Columbia took home 5th place in the state in the Boy's AA Shot Put-50 feet 4 inches.

The Lewisburg girl's 3200 meter relay team did well in their Friday morning heat running 9:46.41 seconds. They will run for state gold and a medal Saturday morning in Shippensburg.

Britni Phillips ran a 15.04 in the Girl's AA 100 meter hurdles. Phillips is from Bloomsburg.

Austin Shupp from Palmerton ran a 14.23 in the Boy's AA 110 high hurdles in the preliminaries while Luke Rarig from Southern Columbia ran a 14.83 followed up by Josh Purcell from Troy and his 14.91 second run in the 110 high hurdles.

Anthony Maurent from Wilkes-Barre GAR won his preliminary heat in the AA 100 meter dash by running 10.96 seconds.
