Police Looking for Thief Who Stole Seafood, Beer and More from Wegmans

DICKSON CITY -- Police are looking for the thief who stole several items worth more than $1000 from Wegmans in Dickson City.

According to officials from Wegmans, the thief got away with meat, seafood, beer and appliances on Saturday. They also believed the man was driving a white Pontiac Grand Am with a white oval "Iraq" sticker on the trunk.

Dickson City Police posted the following on their Facebook page.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dickson City Police at 570-342-9111.

    So the employees just watched him walk out the door with this stuff? I guess they were too busy watching the video monitors to ask him if he needed help finding his way to the checkout counter.

      That surprised me too.. I worked for one of their Distribution centers and security was very, very tight there. Locked gates, and more that 4 security guards watching cameras 24/7/365. Make us feel safe, I figured they would do the same for their stores.

    Bet he’s at a cabin for the weekend. To easy to spot him unloading car
    with all that and no bags in the city.

    I’m not saying it’s right, but they “Iraq” sticker might indicate that he’s an out of work veteran who’s down on his luck and desperate. This is yet another issue being ignored by our elected representatives.

      Which may absolutely be the case. But if you are that down on your luck, you don’t take beer and seafood. You can get by on a box of pasta and a jar of sauce for under $5

    All the Dickson City PD knows how to do is pull over and harass people, they’ll never catch this guy.
