Shawn Pittack the Lakeland starting pitcher worked his way out of a 1st inning bases loaded jam with three outs and no runs allowed on Thursday afternoon in the District II AA Boy's high-school baseball playoffs at Dunmore.
After the Bucks failed to score in the bottom of the 1st inning the Lakeland bats went to work. 2nd inning pinch-hitter Jordan Art slapped a 2 run rbi single down the left field line to make it 2-0 Chiefs.
Lakeland added another run in the 3rd when James Blevins doubled in a run to put the score at 3-0.
The Bucks got on the scoreboard in the Bottom of the 3rd inning when Joshua Sawka hit a rbi single up the middle making the score 3-1.
Lakeland then scored 4 more runs in the 4th inning. Josh Natale ripped a rbi double to right field for the 4-1 advantage, then Shane Rivenburgh singled in a run to make it 5-1, followed by James Blevins 2 run home run and the Chiefs had a 7-1 lead on Dunmore thru 4 innings.
Lakeland out slugs Dunmore 10-8 to advance to the District Finals.
