WILKES-BARRE -- The woman who was the center of a poisoning case in Luzerne County was sentenced on Monday to house arrest and probation for an unrelated crime.
Dawn Simyan's punishment stems from a break-in at the home of her ex-husband last September.
It happened just weeks before she testified at the poisoning trial of her then-boyfriend's mother Helen Galli.
Back in 2010 Galli spiked Simyan's drink with anti-freeze severly poisoning the woman. Galli was sentenced to up to 12 years in prison.
