Bloomsburg senior hurdler and jumper Britni Phillips captured two gold medals last Saturday May 17th at the District IV Track and Field Championships. Phillips won the 100 girl’s hurdles in 15.05 seconds then triple jumped 38 feet 5 inches for another gold medal. She took 3rd place in the girl’s long jump going 16 feet 5 3/4 inches.
Dominick Bragalone the South Williamsport junior won the boy’s 100 and 200 meter dashes and took home a 2nd place in the 4 x 100 meter relay and a 3rd place in the 4 x 400 meter relay. Bragalone a star on the football field hasn’t slowed down since putting away the pads in November. His winning time in the 100 was 11.15 seconds and in the 200 he ran a 22.65 seconds. The Mounties 4 x 100 team ran a 44.56 and the 4 x 400 team a 3:28.48.
