HAZLE TOWNSHIP — Police in Luzerne County are looking for the man who swindled a homeowner by posing as a utility worker.
Troopers said the man, who is in his 30’s, was dressed a water company employee and went to a home on South Church Street in Hazle Township Friday morning.
State police said the homeowner let the man in. Once inside, the thief managed to steal $450 in cash. He then ran away.
If you have information on the whereabouts of the man, you are asked to call State Police in Hazleton.

Did he furnish ID? Next time people don’t let anyone inside until you call the whatever company they say they’re from to verify. Trust no one. Especially if no prior notice was given, or you didn’t call them!
