WILKES-BARRE -- People packed Public Square in Wilkes-Barre to take in the sights and sounds of the Fine Arts Fiesta.
The event celebrates the arts with live performances, various vendors, and a big selection of food from all different cultures.
This is the 59th year for the fiesta which was started by Annette Evans and Alfred Groh in 1956.
Debbie Grossman, president of the Fine Arts Fiesta, said, "Their mission was to bring culture to downtown Wilkes-Barre and they brought a few artworks from some galleries in New York and wanted to invite the public to see them and their vision was to expand and grow. As you can see, we've done that tremendously."
Vendors were thrilled that the weather was nice on Saturday after Friday was rained out.
The Fine Arts Fiesta continues through Sunday in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
