BLOOMSBURG ---Three Bloomsburg University football players are leaving their college days behind and taking their talents to the pros.

Last week's NFL draft was historic for Bloomsburg University and folks on campus are pretty proud.

Defensive lineman Larry Webster was selected in the fourth round by the Detroit Lions, one of the highest draft picks ever out of Bloomsburg.

Offensive linemen Brian Clarke and Matt Fieler signed free agent contracts with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans respectively.

It should have been four members of that Bloomsburg University senior class.

Running back Franklyn Quiteh from Tobyhanna graduated as the second leading rusher in the history of division-2 football.

He was a lock for a draft until shoulder surgery in January put his dream on hold.
