TOWANDA -- Massive machinery forced crews to fortify a bridge Tuesday night Bradford County.
Massive turbines, each weighing 300 tons, were hauled from Towanda to a power plant that's under construction about eight miles away.
The machines are so big, traffic could not get around them. The bridge that takes Liberty Corners Road over Towanda Creek needed to be bolstered to support the massive loads Tuesday night.
The span will need to be inspected before it can re-open.
