SCRANTON — A woman will spend time in prison for a pill tampering case in Luzerne County.

Yolanda Holman of Wilkes-Barre was sentenced Tuesday morning at the federal courthouse in Scranton. She was sentenced to 26 months in federal prison.

In February, she pleaded guilty to charges against her.

Holman admitted buying a bottle of children’s Advil and replacing the pills with muscle relaxers and iron.

She says she resealed the bottle with superglue and had her daughter return it to another store in Wilkes-Barre so she could get her money back.

Holman apologized in court, saying she switched the pills because she needed gas money to bring her daughter to the doctor.
