WILLIAMSPORT --- A family of six is staying elsewhere after a fire broke out Monday evening in Williamsport.
Firefighters were called to the home on Memorial Avenue just before 8 p.m. in the city.
Investigators said they the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the second and third floors.
Fire officials believe the fire started after food was left unattended on the stove but the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
