CLARKS SUMMIT — Jackie Cruciani has been married for 32 years and has four adult children who happen to think she’s pretty special.

“She just has enough love, she never runs out of it for anyone. The second someone walks in our door, they become part of our family,” said Kara Cruciana, Jackie’s youngest daughter.

Over the past 10 years, the Cruicani’s home in Clarks Summit has been filled with children.

The family has taken in 20 foster kids from the Lackawanna County Office of Youth and Family Services.

“Watching them grow and seeing them when they leave our home as little kids and that’s even more fun,” said Jackie Cruciani.

Cruciani and her husband foster infants, some for 24 hours and some for more than a year.

And yes, that means getting up in the middle of the night for feedings and crying babies.

The oldest Cruciani child, Vince, said “The most remarkable part of the last 10 years was seeing the positive effect on children’s lives. ”

“It’s just a bigger family now with more in-laws, more brothers and sisters. It’s a big family,” said Kara.

As for if the family plans to bring in any more foster kids…”Well after each one when they leave, we usually say it’s the last one. So, i don’t know,” Said the mother of four.
