WILKES-BARRE — Holy Saviour Church in the East End of Wilkes-Barre is scheduled to close its doors for good, according to a spokesperson for the Diocese of Scranton.

Holy Saviour is slated to host its final mass on June 29.

The church is part of the St. Andre Bessette parish, which is made up of Holy Saviour, St. Stanislaus Koska, and Sacred Heart of Jesus churches.

Holy Saviour church served as a secondary worship site for the parish, and after an evaluation, it was determined that the building should be closed.

The St. Stanislaus Koska church building has served as the primary site for church services and will remain open.

Go ahead IF you claim to be Christians keep rating it thumbs down below, as I speak the truth practice what we preach ! 10% is what we are to pay, look it up Malachi 3:8 IF you claim to be Christian, I am Christian, I pay my 10% anyone else claiming to be should also, not my Rule, in the Old Testament — I would like to think practicing Christians are NOT the ones rating it thumbs down below, as Christians we pay 10% and are suppose to if TRUE Believers !

Bottom line is this ! If your a Christian and follow Both Old and New Testament, then you need to go to Old Testament MALACHI 3:8 God tells us to pay our 10% of ALL our increase ! Not paying your true 10% or just passing plates and putting a couple dollars on it, when for example you might Gross $1,000 a week, isn’t going to cut it, you should pay $100 for your church a week if you gross $1,000 ! It is in the Old Testament

Any church needs money to operate, and if the congregation paid their true fair 10% each and every week from each member who gets an income, besides receiving personal blessings, maybe there would not be so many church closings !

Gene Roddenberry said there’d be no organized religion on Earth in the 23rd century. Looks like it’s yet another prediction that’s coming true.

It seem’s to me that all these churches closing is because they seem to spend more money on making their churches better and prettier than other one’s. What ever happened to the old churches you went there for one reason and not to see what everyone else was wearing. Bigger is not always better.
