EAST NORWEGIAN TOWNSHIP — Last minute shoppers could get something for mom and help out their community in Schuylkill County.
A craft fair was held at the East Norwegian Township Fire Company near Pottsville where vendors had jewelery and other treats for mom including some sweets.
Jeanne Ouderkirk, a vendor at the craft fair, even sold a special pink dessert to raise money for a cause mom would approve of.
“Every month, beginning of the month, I pick someone in Schuylkill County that has breast cancer, for every one of these sold, all $5, I will donate at the end of the month say $50-$60 for gas money for them to go to chemo,” said Ouderkirk.
Money from the craft sale also went to the fire department in Schuylkill County.
