SCRANTON — Police in Scranton said a man has admitted to setting two brush fires.

Officers arrested Michael Wademan, 24, of Scranton.

Authorities believe Wademan started two fires Monday in the city’s south side.

One near Connell Park and the other near Skyview Apartments.

Police in Scranton said the man told them he started the fire at skyview because he was angry his mother was in the hospital.

Wademen also told police he started the fire at Connell Park because he was mad the pool was not going to be open this year.
