MAHONING TOWNSHIP -- Hundreds of people came out in support of the March of Dimes on Sunday.

The Susquehanna March for Babies stepped off from Geisinger Medical Center near Danville around 10:30 a.m.

Folks took part in a 2.5 mile walk.

The March of Dimes supports prenatal wellness, and efforts for stronger, healthier babies.

Laurie Krebs of Coal Township said, "Our daughter was born prematurely, 27 weeks, along with her twin brother, Landon. Landon didn't survive. Kyleigh spent two months in the NICU and thanks to the March of Dimes we have our Kyleigh with us."

"It's really nice to see everybody come out for such a great cause for the babies and for all the premature infants that are born and what they have and what families have to go through. This is a really great cause today," said Dan Krebs.

There was also food, face painting, and entertainment at the March of Dimes event in Montour County.
