UPDATE: Vacant House Destroyed by Fire in Monroe County

BRODHEADSVILLE -- A vacant house was destroyed by a fire in Brodheadsville early Saturday in Monroe County.

Authorities said firefighters from Brodheadsville and surrounding areas were called in to help put out the flames around 12:30 a.m.

According to officials, the house off Route 209 could not be saved.

Investigators are looking for the cause. Fire officials said the blaze is considered to be suspicious.
