This week, I'm joining the University of Scranton Women's Rugby team, and attempting to be as tough and tenacious as these stellar athletes. The ladies of Scranton's team are coached by former rugby player, Mick Hill. There's hitting, tackling, running and kicking, and one's only protection from injury, is a mouth guard. The game is comparable to American Football, but there are some major differences. In rugby, there are no pads or helmets, and forward passes aren't permitted. I wasn't bad when it came to passing the ball, but I wasn't aggressive enough when it came to tackling. The sport is unique and intriguing. It takes a tough person, who is quick, fearless, and focused. I wasn't the best rugby player, but I gave it my best shot!
