On a cold Wednesday afternoon at PNC Field in Moosic the SWB RailRiders shut out the Buffalo Bisons 5-0 in an International League Baseball game. With the win manager Dave Miley passes Marc Bombard for the all-time wins lead in franchise history.

The RailRiders scored first in the bottom of the 1st inning on a throwing error by the Bisons shortstop making it 1-0.

They added another run in the bottom of the 5th on a double steal attempt. Antoan Richardson broke for home from third when the throw went to second on the attempt making it 2-0 RailRiders.

That allowed spot starter Chase Whitley to settle in going five innings giving up 0 runs while striking out 7. Relief pitcher Alfredo Aceves cruised thru the final four innings with three hits allowed and four strikeouts. Whitley earned the win while Bisons starting pitcher Kyle Drabek the tough luck loser.

SWB scored three insurance runs in the bottom of the 8th to increase the lead to 5-0. Russ Canzler reached base with a bloop single to right. He later scored on a sacrifice fly to left field making it 3-0. The RailRiders added a run on a hit and a fielder's choice for the 5-0 final.
