EAST STROUDSBURG — Students and faculty at East Stroudsburg University planted flowers on the quad for Earth Day.

The Environmental Club also assembled and painted dozens of birdhouses.

“A lot of people just kind of go about their lives doing whatever, but it’s good to have a day that’s significant for ecological importance,” said Laura Beimfohr, a senior Environmental Science major.

There was also live music for students to enjoy outdoors in celebration of Earth Day in Monroe County.
