WILKES-BARRE — The gusty wind and rain that blew through Tuesday afternoon caused some problems at the Luzerne County Courthouse.

A skylight blew off the roof of the courthouse and landed a few feet away on another part of the roof.

The skylight was directly over one of the two staircases that go to the third floor, where most of the courtrooms are.

Workers blocked off the stairs with yellow tape and tried mopping up the mess, as rain poured in.

Courtroom workers tell Newswatch16 that a tarp was used to cover the hole.

No one was hurt and the incident did not disrupt any court hearings.
