Last season, the RailRiders had too many holes in their lineup, too many guys who were "all or nothing at all" players.

But, in the sixth inning of last night's home opener the RailRiders trailed by one run with two on, two outs and two strikes on the batter... John Ryan Murphy.

Murphy barely stayed alive with a foul tip and then a foul ball that landed in the second row down the right field line.

Finally, the RailRiders catcher lined a single to right-center and the team was on their way to a four run inning and a 7-2 win.

Clutch hit, nice comeback and hopefully an omen to a new philosophy at the plate.
