WILKES-BARRE — A man pleaded guilty to charges related to a deadly crash in Luzerne County.
Onix Gorbea-Lespier from the Harrisburg area pleaded Friday morning to homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, DUI, and careless driving.
Investigators say Gorbea-Lespier was driving drunk on Interstate 81 near Hazleton in July of 2011 when he veered off the road, hitting and killing Kayla Bahrey, 18, of McAdoo who was on the side of the highway near a disabled car.
Gorbea-Lespier could face between one and a half to three years when he’s sentenced.
