GREENE TOWNSHIP — An alleged hate crime against a well-known doctor in our area has a woman locked up in Pike County.

Between April and October of 2013, state police were called to the Lake Wallenpaupack property of Dr. Steven Vale.

He owns and operates the Acuity Laser Eye and Vision centers in our area.

Troopers said his property on Laurel Drive was spray-painted with anti-semitic slurs.

On Thursday, police arrested Roseanne Simeone of Long Pond and charged her with ethnic intimidation.

Court papers indicate that Vale and the suspect knew each other.
