HANOVER TOWNSHIP — PennDOT says drivers using Route 309 between the Mountain Top area and Wilkes-Barre can expect a rough ride for the next few weeks.
Parts of Route 309 northbound and southbound are down to one lane through the rock cuts in Hanover Township while crews mill and resurface the road.
In the next few weeks, PennDOT says all traffic will move to what are now the southbound lanes.
The northbound lanes of Route 309 will be closed for blasting.
Work on the rock cut is expected to run through the fall.
