WILKES-BARRE — A woman from Luzerne County was immediately sentenced after pleading guilty to child endangerment charges.
Police say Amanda Lopez left two children home in Hanover Township last year. They say that’s when a 3 year old poured hot water on a 2 year old, burning the little girl on her neck, ears, and back.
Police say that instead of taking the child to the hospital, Lopez and another woman tried to treat the burns at home.
Lopez was sentenced on Monday to two years of probation and ordered to complete parenting classes.
