Normally every year, the maple syrup farmers start their process in February, but the long winter has delayed the season at Urbanski Farms near Nuangola.
Because of the harsh winter, the sap they need to make maple syrup could not flow.
Now that temperatures have started to warm up, the sap is flowing nicely and farmers are optimistic for their upcoming season.
Carl Urbanski says, "We thought it might be worse than average, lots of starts and stops with the cold weather made it freeze up again on us. In the end, its going to be a better than average season for us."
The Urbanski family predict this to be their fifth best season on record for the farm.
