The 11 mile stretch in Luzerne County is a former railroad bed for the Delaware-Lackawanna railroad.
It has since been turned in a handicap accessible trail that can be used year round.
Participants say the trail is an important part of the community.
"It's an important thing here. There's really nothing like that in this area. It really helps the people in the town, gives them access to a great, traffic-free place to exercise, run, walk, bike, walk your dog. So it's a super place."
The Susquehanna Warrior Trail links two other trails with 13 public parks in this part of Luzerne County.
