COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP — Authorities have not yet filed charges against a driver who was involved in a deadly pedestrian accident in Monroe County.
The coroner told Newswatch 16, Jeanine Ames, 49 from Tobyhanna was hit while walking along Routes 6 and 11 near Tobyhanna around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Ames was airlifted to an area hospital where she later died.
Officers said an autopsy will be scheduled.
