COLUMBIA COUNTY -- Money was stolen from several vending machines at rest areas along Interstate 80, according to state police.

That money was supposed to help visually impaired people.

Troopers told Newswatch 16 three men broke into vending machines at several rest stops along the interstate on Monday. The three men can be seen on surveillance video.

The machines are owned by North Central Sight Services Inc., which is a non-profit that helps the blind and visually impaired in our area.

The group's vending machines were also hit by thieves in 2012.

According to state police, the crooks got away with about $370, and caused $1,200 worth of damage.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Pennsylvania State Police Bloomsburg at 570-387-4261.
