MONTOURSVILLE -- Rapidly rising waters took a contractor by surprise in Lycoming County.
Construction equipment got stuck in Loyalsock Creek in Montoursville.
County officials said the trucks and heavy equipment belong to Glenn O. Hawbaker, the company in the process of rebuilding the bridge over the creek.
The bridge over Loyalsock Creek was knocked out during the flood of 2011, and federal funds are being used to rebuild it.
People said they were amazed that the trucks weren't moved when the heavy rains were forecasted.
Officials haven't said if the contractor will have to wait until the waters come down to remove the soaked machinery and vehicles.
