WILKES-BARRE — The city of Wilkes-Barre has filed court papers seeking ownership of the land where the Hotel Sterling once stood.
The city has a $400,000 lien on the property. That’s what it cost to demolish the building last year.
The court filing allows the current owners, Citivest, 15 days to respond.
If not, attorneys say, the property gets taken over by the city of Wilkes-Barre.
