Driver of Stolen Car led Police on a Chase

TOBYHANNA — A car reached 115 miles per hour while trying to avoid police in Monroe County.

According to State Police,  they spotted a stolen vehicle on Interstate 80 in Pocono Township.

Troopers started following the car, but the driver sped up. The driver of the car was identified as a resident of Queens, NY.

The suspect led them all the way to the intersection of Route 611 and Route 423 in Tobyhanna where state police were able to stop him.

Police believe the driver was under the influence. He is locked up in the Monroe County prison on a slew of charges.
