OLD FORGE --  The Old Forge Girls' basketball team came home from the state championship game to a warm welcome.

Old Forge senior guard Rhyan Barnic said it's a bittersweet feeling to lose the game.

"Just to know that was our last game, but I'm just so happy with how the season went. I can't complain that we pushed the season as far as we did," said Barnic.

She's still proud of her team.

"We're a great group of girls, it really means a lot to our school and we made history."

The Lady Devils won't be bringing the state championship home to Old Forge, but signs all across Main Street show that no matter what happens, the community has their backs.

"Either way, you had a great year this year. Either way, we support you girls. You did a great job all year long," said Annie Kania, Old Forge.

Another fan said, "They did an awesome job of going all the year to Hershey, at least they made it to Hershey."

""We had so much support and so many fans there. I can't thank them enough. When we were down, they really got us up."

The Lady Devils are the second team from Old Forge to make it to the state game this school year.

In the fall, the football team competed for the state title and also came up short.

But if you ask people in the community what Old Forge is all about.

""Pizza and sports! Sports and pizza!"
