Because it’s federal property, so the city/town/state police don’t do the routine policing there. Some VA campuses are quite large with many buildings. Military installations have their own federal police, as do national parks, indian reservations, federal administrative buildings (such as courthouses, social security offices, post offices, the US Capitol, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, etc).

Nice attempt at a complete sentence. Good work. I work at the V.A. and the police are a valuable part of the workforce. After a little event called 9/11 the placed armed police in government facilities.

Wait it happened Infront of a hospital and they took him to a different hospital for treatment? Only in America

In order to be seen at the VA, you need to be a veteran. that’s probably why they took the person 5 mins down the road to geisinger.

The VA is not a hospital. It’s a medical center for veterans. Plus, Geisinger is the area trauma center and can handle injuries that a regular hospital may not be able to. Sounds stupid to the uninformed, but there’s rhyme to the reason.

Isn’t that the job/purpose of the reporter? To fill in details and questions people would ask? I guess maybe the reporter was not smart enough to ask questions.
