SCRANTON — Nearly two months after a police standoff in Lackawanna County, a man has admitted firing at officers.

Barry Keiper of Walnutport pleaded guilty Friday to one count of attempted homicide.

In January, police say Keiper fired about 20 shots at officers during the standoff at Rodeway Inn on Birney Avenue in Moosic.

He faces seven to 20 years in prison when he’s sentenced in Lackawanna County.
