Car Crash Snaps Utility Pole in Half, Driver Killed

HUNLOCK TOWNSHIP -- Police are investigating a deadly crash Friday morning in Luzerne County.

The coroner says Raymond Perry, 27, died when his car hit a utility pole on Hunlock Harveyville Road near Hunlock Creek just after 2 a.m.

According to investigators, the car slammed into a utility pole that snapped in half leaving wires on the road.

The road was closed for about four hours.
