Child Hit by Boulder, Flown to Hospital

POTTSVILLE – A child was flown to the hospital after being hit by, what officials in Schuylkill county call, a boulder.

Officials at the 911 center said two children were climbing a rock bank behind the former Mount Hope School in Pottsville just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, when a big rock fell. One kid was flown to the hospital, and the other has minor injuries.

Police have not released the names or ages of the victims.
