Fire At Scranton Lace Plant

SCRANTON -- Crews were called out to battle a smoky fire at an empty factory in Scranton.

It started around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the old Scranton Lace Company on Albright Avenue.

White smoke was coming from some of the windows when firefighters arrived.

Fire crews said people were working in the building earlier in the day.

No one was hurt.

There is no word on what sparked the fire.
