SCRANTON — A hole about 10 to 15 feet deep opened up near the intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue and Bedford Street in Scranton.
The city’s sewer authority isn’t sure what caused the subsidence that was discovered Tuesday morning.
They have contacted the Office of Surface Mining to investigate.
The area is closed to traffic until the hole can be filled.
