Police Chase Leads to Charges for Teen

SELINSGROVE —  A college student is locked up after allegedly leading police on a high- speed chase in Snyder County.

Officers said at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, they spotted a vehicle driving with its headlights off near Orange and Pine Streets in Selinsgrove.

Police tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver started to speed up and almost hit a different police cruiser. The driver was later identified as 19-year-old Cedric Barfield.

The chase ended around the intersection of Pine street and Liberty alley. Officers believe Barfield was driving under the influence. He is facing several charges in Snyder County.
